Vehicles in Germany's Town Discovered Marked with Swastikas in Human Blood, Police State

Approximately fifty vehicles have been covered with what seems to be human blood in the Germany's municipality of Hanau close to Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.

Cars, walls and mailboxes were defaced, sometimes with Nazi symbols, they announced in a release.

Police state they were notified late on Wednesday evening, when a man noticed that a car in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been marked with a reddish-hued substance.

The fluid had been drawn in the shape of a swastika, they reported.

Law enforcement then discovered numerous other vandalized vehicles and house walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

Nazi symbols are banned in Germany under legislation outlawing the public display of symbols from the Nazi era.

Police say preliminary tests show the liquid was most likely blood from a person.

"At present there remains no indication as to where it came from; authorities are not yet aware of any harm in association with the incident," they added.

City officials stated they were working "to resolve the incident" and have asked to the residents for information.

A senior political figure commented the attack left him without words and required to be solved promptly.

"This act hits the core of Hanau and reawakens the wounds of the far-right violent incident in 2020," he wrote on social media, recalling the death of nine victims by a shooter targeting individuals of immigrant origin in February 2020.
