The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Ex two-time unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really happening.
